How about this! In reference to a request for clarification by council for Charles C. Johnson to a Senate Select Committee on Intelligence request for “all documents, emails, text messages, direct messages, calendar appointments, memoranda, notes or other documents related to any communications with “all documents, emails, text messages, direct messages, calendar appointments, memoranda, notes or other documents related to any communications with Russian persons.."
According to The Young Turks (not what most people would define as a right of center organization) April Doss, the senior Democratic Counsel for the committee defined Russian persons as anyone “of Russian nationality or descent.”
So in other words the many people of Russian ancestry in the United States (including members of the Imperial Family) who fled for their lives from the Bolsheviks or who indeed came to the United States before the Revolution are suspect.
Now imagine the howls of outrage if this same logic was applied to an investigation regarding the PRC, and descendants of those who were with the Nationalist Government, or indeed those who had come to California in the nineteenth century!
