I had to slip up to the northern reaches of what McGimpy calls "southern Ontario", and the friggin plows hadn't been anywhere near hwy 11. On the trip south, they had finally made it out and salted the sh!t out of the hwy, so a buck 20 was doable. The road was clean from Forest Home/Orillia to the 7th line of Oro, then I see a fairly clean fast lane, and lots of sh!t in the slow lane. By the time I hit the 5th line of Oro, the traffic was doing 30km, all the way to hwy 93. I checked the line up behind me, and where I was from where I saw the plow holding traffic back, and figured the lineup was close to 8 kms long or longer. One plow working, and a second one doing didly. I know, the buddy system. Always work in pairs. But only one was cleaning the hwy.
Because of the delay, I missed my appointment with my friendly SP. So after checking out the competition and MPAs available, I finally decided to head back up to Muskoka to check out another tile job. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Anywhere from 27kms to 45kms per hour. Got to the 14th line of Oro, and the roads where clean but wet. West Street north to Severn Bridge was 30 to 40kms per hour behind, you guess it another set of plows. Well I lost it. Almost 2 hours sitting on my ass, and I was going to have to break another appointment. So I know I'm not going to make it, so I turn around at Kilworthy, and WTF I catch up to the same plows heading south, all the way back to the 14th line of Oro. GRRRRRRRRRR!!!! Georgian Bay streamers.
Now it's BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
So how was your day?
