You forgot to mention how all the unions are supporting ISIS and using members' dues to buy these enslaved women.
True! e.g. Sid Ryan, postal union

Trudeau turning his back on the war against isis may end up being like countries who looked the other way when hitler began before ww2

Truly frightening the thought of Justin leading us into battle

During WW II, the elder Trudeau (24 years old at the time) wore a Nazi helmet and rode on his motorcycle around Montreal's Jewish neighborhoods. Like father, like son.

A biography of the former prime minister, whom Canadians have long been taught to regard as a great liberal politician, reveals that Mr. Trudeau was an anti-Semite, admired fascist dictators such as Hitler and Mussolini.

You definitely forgot to mention Jean Chrétien, surely his decision not to join the 2003 Iraq war must have been the root cause behind ISIS...

Hey SkyRider - I assume that you wouldn't just make up shit out of political bigotry - can please reference this Nazi helmet and targeting Jewish neighborhoods for me ? The only Google references I could find was your comments in Terb. Trudeau was a riding a motorcycle and refused participation in the fighting - a fact not lost on many French (France) citizens after the war.

The book couldn't be more slanted with the facts than if the Conservatives published it to attack the Trudeau myth behind junior. The references were from papers he wrote when he was 17 and I would argue that people don't shutdown their learning and opinions at 18 (with the possible exception of bigoted red necks). Whatever journey PET took to get there - he was a Federalist by the time he was in power and openly attacked the separatist movement (in one case evoking the war measures act to go after them).

Remember that in a time when Conservatives were as intolerant as their ISIS counterparts today - Trudeau pushed through the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and in 1967 decriminalized homosexual behavior with the statement "there's no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nation", adding that "what's done in private between adults doesn't concern the Criminal Code". I acknowledge what he did but hated his arrogance and fiscal policies. (Harper shares the same arrogant trait).

As far as I can tell from observing junior - other than a woman's right to abortion, he certainly doesn't share the concept of protecting sexual freedom and I think may even be prepared to legislate a code of conduct on most social issues that follow his own beliefs.

I was in the Philippines this past March. You don't c the police often there Aquino got rid of them. The private armed guards r everywhere there, helpful, I felt safe at night walking alone in parts where they were. Didn't see any crime there. They r better for basic security than anything you'd see here and way cheaper. For many public services I prefer to choose or get a rebate back on my taxes so I can choose to send my kids
to private school for example or choose to pay out of pocket for some healthcare services in order to have more public funding for real emergencies or better long term care when i really need it. I loved it when the garbagemen were on strike I could take the garbage, a few bags at a time in my trunk, over to the parking lot at my convenience instead of under their schedule. Postmen ticket collectors dont need em right. Why do I have to pay taxes for hockey rinks a game most kids cant afford or dont do and to subsidize the NHLs farm system. The libraries overstaffed.

I liked Chretian and Clinton. Good liberals democrats at the time not like trudeau. Some argument to be made why doesnt Canada keep a lower profile e.g. "why do we make it obvious to the terrorists that we r after them maybe it flags r country more for them to attack us"
History will show George Bush as one of the good presidents for laying the first strike to shatter the middle east dictators.

Keep in mind that both he and the liberal party are ardently pro choice, so he supports the right of any and all victims of rape to have unfettered access to abortion........now someone please inform ISIS or the Taliban or whoever happens to be the Islamic terror group de jour. Thanks Justin, without your strong stance on the topic we wouldn't know how to respond.

"Former Liberal PM ************ Trudeau viewed defence spending with contempt, suggested early on by his driving a motorcycle around Montreal while wearing a German helmet during WWII. His son now leads the Liberal party." http://bcblue.wordpress.com/2014/09...*****-trudeau-wore-german-helmet-during-ww11/

As far as targeting Jewish neighborhoods, it was something that was said to me when I attended university in Montreal and which I have also seen in print at least once. I will try to find a citation for you. It's possible that he might have also rode his motorcycle wearing that German helmet in non-Jewish neighborhoods as well.

I'm not being facetious here, but is it possible that even if it is true that he wore a German helmet while riding a motorcycle, he wasn't trying to make an anti-semetic statement?

If the idiotic logic of this thread continued, how many countries would we need to bomb? ISIS are scum, but not going to war is not really a bad policy.

Idiotic is taking yours and trudeau's stance of doing nothing! Doing so we risk having history repeat itself once again;

Cambodia 1979-80. 1-3 million dead
Nigeria 1979. 1-3 million dead
Rawanda 1994. 1-2 million dead
Darfur. 2003. 500k-1 million dead
Bosnia 1995. 30000 dead

.....and the list continues as does the mountain of dead civilians. Do you being a member of this country's mentally challenged really feel that hope, good wishes and a few boxes of humanitarian aid will stop the killings? Grow the fuck up and have a good feel down there to see if you still have a pair of them between your legs. Why don't we send aid workers there instead of jets??? Perhaps it's because aid workers and journalists are being abducted and beheaded.......so that may not work so well.

It worked so well the last time the US invaded Iraq, and the the time before that.
How many times do you have to bomb a country until they start behaving the way you want them to?

Ever think that bombing countries doesn't lead to making things better?

Here's fine a bit of press for you laddy, when the US invaded Iraq, it was for one purpose, and that was to depose Saddam. In case you missed the news, this isn't an invasion. It's targeted bombing of stateless combatants in both Syria and Iraq. If you feel that sending humanitarian aid is the answer, by all means step up and make your way there and start handing out mac & cheese, hotdogs & tetra packed fruit drinks......but remember there's no armed escorts or planes overhead to protect your ass.

Why can't you find the page?
Link problem? When I click, it goes to some guy in BC's blog but there is no content on that page, just a "page not found" message.

Sascha's dad ************ was riding around Canada on a motorbike wearing a nazi helmet.

Still waiting for that evidence. Some random comment on a forum is all you gave. Besides, a kid in Quebec somehow getting hold of a Nazi helmet during the war seems unlikely unless there was a Nazi invasion of Canada I never heard about.
