I need someone capable of constructing a few items for me. Namely, a cage approx. 7' high by 4.5' square. Kind'a like a dungeon cage but made out of either brushed alluminum or chromed steel. Important fact is that it be made portable and easily transported.

Must be sturdy enough to be raised/lowered by motorized winch with 200-250 lbs. added to the weight of the cage. Few other items required as well but will discuss once I find someone who might be capable of building the cage for me.

Both materials can be used for a cage as can Stainless Steel. The Aluminum can be clear coated and will hold up better than the brushed steel to the elements. The floor of the cage will add weight, depending on the conctruction requirements. You need to consider the gross weight when choosing a winch to lift it. Personally I would have a winch capable of lifting 150% of the gross weight.

Stainless is strongest, but heaviest. Depends on what you are doing with it. I can build it from any material you want, with chrome, it would have to be constructed from steel first, then plated.

I take it the 250 lbs would not be a 'static' load.. I have other questions if you want to proceed.

Fantastic! As for the load, no it won't be static. It will be holding a person. Ideally, it must be as light as possible. Hence the alluminum as a possible option. But it must also withstand the rigors of road travel and easily/quickly assembled.

Will need it by the end of December at the latest.

I would recommend the cage be made of aluminum, since weight and winching is an issue. What is it for? Are you going shark diving?

Keep in mind that welding aluminum is not easy to do.

lol No, nothing that adventurous. It's going to be used as a stage prop.

As a prop you can consider a triangular cage. Only the corner braces need be used for strength and the slats can be props thenselfs.

lol No, not the kids. Although that's not such a bad idea...

Has to be square. Triangular shape won't hold what I plan to put in there. Need more space to allow for unfettered movement.

Look, I promised you I would stop jumping up on the stage and start stripping with a paper bag over my head claiming to be the unblown comic and cracking dumb jokes.
