You can't seriously believe that Israel created Hamas. What do you do with your spare time, search out crazy conspiracy theories to believe in?

I bet you were a big Xfiles fan...
Actually, he didn't go back far enough.

The Jews made sure Hitler and the Nazis got into power so there would be a Holocaust, then the world would feel pity for the Jews and then give them a homeland in the middle east. Those are some sneaky Jews.

It would and it would be a good thing. Would mean that groups like Hamas giving up on their main goals though.

Actually, this is a step up for Big Sleazy. A couple of days ago, he quoted a YouTube video of the Three Stooges.

Absolutely they do. Olmert offered peace. Had Abbas said yes...

You can bleat about the deal not allowing for the destruction of Israel but it was a genuine peace offer.

Netanyahu wants a deal with Fatah once Hamas is disarmed.

yeah Hitler offered Britain peace as well, whatever. It was not genuine and Israel continues to build on occupied land after it agreed to stop. Please explain why they would do this if they wanted peace?

Easy to shoot down this piece of crap argument.

First off, Israel on numerous occasions have offered an independent Palestinian state. Hitler's offer or peace to Britain only if the Brits would attack the USSR. Not exactly a peace plan.
Second, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and Fatah's armed wing are all opposed to peace with Israel. They are clear that their goal is Israel's destruction (and for at least Hamas and Jihad to remove the Jewish presence from the region).
Third, Israel's agreements under Oslo also included Palestinians recognizing Israel's right to exist, the disarming of all non-PA factions, and the cessation of attacks on Israeli civilians. None of that happened so Israel is under no obligation to continue building inside settlements. I've been clear that I am opposed to the settlements but they are far less of a problem than Palestinian factions opposed to Israel because it is Israel.

Also anyone who thinks IDF created Hamas by not doing enough to crush Hamas actually is saying Operation Cast Lead didn't go far enough.

I don't recall nottyboi, for example, complaining that Cast Lead was too limited in its military objectives.

No, he says that Israel should have gone in to Gaza to remove Hamas in 2006 when they held their coup but he still thinks Israel shouldn't go into Gaza to remove Hamas.

Well when Hamas launched a coup to take over Gaza, Israel refused to allow the PA to move reinforcements to Gaza to fight them. So Israel deliberately sabotaged it. Even if Fatah cannot maintain its obligations due to certain realities, if Israel really wanted peace they would STILL maintain the moratorium rather then move the process further away from peace. Sorry, saying "you didn't do what you said so we are goonna tear the whole thing up" is emblematic of a nation that wants to maintain animosity. Your point would be the same as saying, Israel did not abide to its moratorium so the Palis can fire rockets. ...idiotic nonsense as usual .

First of all, BS. Fatah does not have the manpower to defeat Hamas. Even if you moved ALL of Fatah to Gaza, it isn't likely Fatah could have won. Not without IDF actively joining the fight, and whatever negotiations may have been going on, IDF and Fatah don't have that sort of relationship. By 2007 Hamas had 6000 soldiers in its executive force and could draw another 4000 from related groups. They is a sizeable army. Fatah has no force that could have fought a protracted war in Gaza.

Second, if that HAD happened you would just switch your criticism to Israel allowing extreme bloodshed and being too blame for pushing Palestinians into a fight. A 10k on a side street fight between Hamas and Fatah would have killed tens of thousands of civilians, it would make the current operation look like a cricket match. The two sides have neither the skill nor the tools to avoid civilian casualties like IDF does.

It is going to take tanks and artillery backed by helicopter gunships and airstrikes to uproot Hamas so don't BS about Fatah "reinforcements".

IDF can have the territory over to Fatah once Hamas had been hamstrung.
