Eleven PM and the Liberals are being declared the winners..

C'mon did you guys actually want the Conservatives? Remember about putting guys like McGuinty and Rae in office with no experience? Besides Harper would be calling up Mulroney before every move....remember him?

So you should always keep electing the party in power because they are the only ones with experience?

Yep and the fact that they have a social conscience...

Your choice, federally, is not a reasonable choice for world wide leadership or social progression.

Easy peasy, if you have a soul.

Who doesn't. I will wager that historians, twenty odd years from now, will write him down as being probably the second greatest Prime Minister this country ever had. Its only the bleeding heart liberals (small L), who can't stand him.

Well wouldn't the NDP or The Green Party be a better choice then, but with your thinking they could never be elected because they would never have the experience either. Best just to do away with elections and save the money.

Well, every Prime Minister since or before him, for starters. (???????)

Um, I hate to remind you of this, but it won't be all that long before it'll be twenty years since Mulroney was in power. Far as I know, everybody still hates him. And hate his nepotisitic pork-barreling ass they should. Exactly when is this re-evaluation supposed to take place?

Something stinks about keeping government in power who pissed away truckloads of cash in that sponsership scandel. Basically says that they'll have to do worse than that to prevent us for electing them :(

Ah yes Brian Mulroney. The PM who single handedly screamed and shouted about Canada's incredible trade imbalance with the US to the point that Congress took notice forever screwing up our position of "that little corner store up north".

The PM who looked at the previous liberal deficits and said, "you call that a deficit! Watch this!"

The PM who so allied himself with Reagan that we lost our status as liason between first and third world, instead becoming just another army joining the Americans to provide nothing more than legitimacy.

The PM who waited until the point that Kim Campbell was put into a position where she was doomed... okay so he did one good thing.

Not sure how anyone could define him or any PMs in the last 30 years as breaking the top 3.

Brian Mulroney was a good PM for the time. He was much needed to remind Canada and the world that we were not a bunch of snow bound morons, who had no ecomonic smarts. If he was actual the demon everyone claimed, then you must put him in the same grouping as PET and even Deifenbaker, both these men were considered the down fall of Canada as they knew it. But today, we hold a place in the world because of the likes of Dief, PET, old Blues Eyes and even Jean C.

These men are our history, each contribited much good to our country in the final balance of things.

Will Paul Martin be in the same league, or even Steven Harper, time will tell, but I am betting it will be a shallow victory for the LIberals, this time around, but watch the next election, it will be a sea of RED across Canada, as the other parties implode, much to my saddness.
