I'd argue the opposite.
Singh shouldn't have called for Trudeau to resign at all and should have celebrated his term, instead he left a bad taste in the mouth of NDP supporters.

The Singh/Trudeau partnership lead to the most NDP policies enacted in a long time.
Day care, dental, pharmacare.

Consider Pee Pee and his 20 years in office, he's done nothing he can claim.
All he's done is spend Canadian's money.

Wrong...Jaghmeet put his pension before his party...He could give a rats ass from here on out what happens to the NDP...
The NDP policies could've been achieved without keeping Trudeau in power for as long as he took... Why did Trudeau resign if he was doing so great? still a question you have yet to answer...

Singh misread the room and thought attacking Trudeau would put the NDP in a higher standing.
Then when it became about stopping trump and the timbit trump the NDP were out of the running.

But the NDP with Singh was far more influential than the cons under Pee Pee or than Pee Pee has ever been during his 20 years in office.
Pee Pee now has the highest pension and spent way more than even Trudeau on expenses.
total failure

All of those policies are at best a farce. I'm not aware of anybody who's seen any benefit out of the much vaunted day care program. Pharmacare literally only applies to birth control and insulin and my understanding of the dental program is that it doesn't apply to something on the order of 90% of Canadians. Trudeau got Singh to back his deeply unpopular minority government on the promise that Singh could claim a victory on those positions, instead what he got was the equivalent of a shit sandwich.

Ford screwed it up in Ontario, didn't want it to happen. But the rest of the country is using it.
I have a diabetic friend who is super happy about pharmacare, and this was to be just the beginning.
Carney is expanding dental.

Pee Pee is a total loser who did nothing.

Yep Poilievre has just sat on his hands and done nothing for 20 years. My goodness your ignorance knows no bounds.

I agree, he should've brought down Trudeau. He's also very left, that's another reason.
Dude failed his party and sold Canada out for a pension.

A month ago I thought the NDP federally would still be somewhat relevant. Now I'm not sure the will be around after a few elections.

Liberals need NDP votes, so why would their voting base split the vote? The NDP is in a very bad position. Worse then I thought.

the NDP is perpetually broke
you need to attract campaign $ in order to campaign properly

Dead meat likes his Rolex collection, fine Italian suits and fancy cars
my guess is he left the parties finances in a god awful mess i.e. next to zero cash and a big pile of debt

but not to worry , he will have his tax payer funded pension.

The thing about the NDP is they still have provincial-level clout west of Canada.

But true, how can they compete for campaign dollars federally against liberals? They very well could be too broken to fix.

Cons gained seats under PP. NDP lost their party status under Singh. He finished 3rd in his own riding. It's the NDPs fault for not forcing him to resign like the Liberals did with Trudeau.

How do you try to spin losing a 20% polling lead into success?
How come only 3/5 conservative premiers would back him?

the NDP were never not broken. they have always supported a failed ideology of massive govt

most of the Provincial NDP govts have been one and done as they always make a mess of it
Bob Rea assured the NDP became irrelevant in Ontario for decades
Alberta will never elect anther NDP govt after Rachel Notley- she aligned herself with the moron Trudeau - - a four letter word in Alberta
the Federal conservatives picked up 7 seats in BC- as David Eby is fumbling the premiers job

the other issue is the NDP abandoned what had traditionally been their base unions and just mimicked the liberals, promising more and more govt funded services trying to buy votes and going ecowarrior
Pierre P got endorsements from unions , who finally figured out they were getting screwed by Loonie left induced inflation
