I had always thought that Rice could be the guy who would be productive into his mid 40's. He seemed to have the intelligence to recognize that as his skills diminish, he had to make the shift from game breaker to possession receiver.
Alas, I guess the steriods in the water around the Bay area has taken over his brain. He still seems to think that he is the same man that he was 15 years ago.
I still think that Rice has something to offer a team like Denver. But his numbers over the past few years just does support that conjecture.
Unfortunately, it may take a concussion or serious injury to get him to retire. Too bad....
