As usual, none of the protesters I spoke to could clearly articulate why they were there or what they believed in, after they ran out of their rehearsed talking points.
When asked simple questions, they got flustered and even hostile.
I was shoved a bit, and even got called "the devil" by an atheist!
There were some friendly folks too, but the bottom line is that they all said they were against fossil fuels and "climate change" -- but they also admitted to driving cars and flying.
Demonstrations like this aren't political so much as they are a kind of religion for these people.
They're a way for them to try to atone for their white liberal guilt.
(PS: "Progressives" haven't gotten any smarter since the last time The Rebel took cameras to a big demonstration...)
