being as how a "top" is the guy DOING the poking and a bottom is the guy receiving (ie: pitching and catching)
I would have to say that topping from the bottom would be the guy on the bottom who normally receives is doing the guy on top....(while he is on top)

There are 3 commonly used terms, TOP - BOTTOM - SWITCH
Top and Bottom are two terms that designate the roles of MASTER/MISTRESS-SLAVE; They are used to describe people who typically play one role or the other.
The TOP would be the DOMINANT and the BOTTOM is the submissive.
A SWITCH is someone who switches between TOP & BOTTOM roles either from scene to scene or during a scene, also known as a SWITCH HITTER.

the term "TOPPING FROM THE BOTTOM" would basically mean that the SLAVE is guiding the scene and in control of what direction the scene goes. This is in essence what our slaves do during sessions as they all have boundries and limitations that must be respected during play. a.k.a. CONSENSUAL PLAY
