Flip a coin...they are both top rated.

That said I prefer FREE Avast!.....;)

I've had the free ones like Avira, Avast and AVG and they were all very good. Of the commercial ones I like Eset Nod32, not a hog on resources like norton.

Actually Norton AV by itself is no resource hog.
Norton becomes a resource hog when you get the 360° Norton version, or whatever they call it now, that comes with all the bells & whistles!

Kaspersky all the way!

I used every AV program that's out there and believe me, most of them are shit.

I love Kaspersky because it does its job properly without asking you what to do every 2 minutes.

They also have the best Firewall out there, imho.

I use Avast. Great program, and free. Norton is a resource hog. I tried Kaspersky a while ago and gave up. Maybe I didn't have the setting right, but it kept bugging me every time it had to send or retireve something over the internet. A complete nuisance. And Mackafee wasn't any good either.
