I just noticed that a krispy kreme is going to open in the concourse level of the richmond adelaide centre.

Get them while they're hot!

Krispy Kreme to me is like Tim Horton's to you. We have one every 20 feet it seems, including grocery stores, gas stations and WalMart!

Its a donut people... a glazed pastry... an overpriced at that! LOL

Couldn't agree more Muffin Muncher. I will NEVER understand the hype that goes along with fried cake but then that is just me.

Because Tim's basic raised honey-dip is the only donut I've ever encountered that tasted like the one's my mom used to make when I was a kid.

I have the recipie. I could make them myself -- but what do you do with a 4-dozen batch of donuts when you live alone? I know you can freeze them, but they're never as good as when fresh.

KKD's are wayyyyy too sweet and have no texture (much like most US white bread.)

Robin's are crumbly, more like a half-way cake donut (though I prefer their cake donuts to Tim's.)

Country Style exists only by being convenient -- neither the coffee nor the donuts are worth consuming. I'd rather go to McTesticles for coffee!

I do not like KKD as mentioned in another thread. They are entirely too sweet, and to add another disgusting layer of sweetness, each are glazed in that liquid sugar dip.

I don't consider them donuts with all that sweetness. They are more like candy.

Have you ever tried a Chocolate Milk at Krispy Kreme? It is horrid! They mix it their from some kind of syrup that can only be one of Satan's bodily fluids.

KKD was simply a fad at the beginning. things have clearly calmed down, although i'm sure these new locations will be busy early on.

have u ever eaten like 3 or 4 of those donuts and felt like u ate nothing? what is this, McDonald's? tim's donuts have a bit of substance to them.

So post it and share with the rest of us then! :)
That is just a recipie for good old-fashioned raised donuts, but I'll try to find it and put it up when I do. (At worst I'll have to get another copy from the folks.)

Hmmm. I still haven't dug up that Chocolate Bourbon Pecan pie recipie either, have I?

Soon -- still unpacking...

Are those KK donuts being told in a selected few Walmart only? I haven’t seen them in my area yet or is this something new that Walmart is now selling.
