Not really a technical post, but rather a kudos to GE ,and, since it's sorta technology related I posted here rather than Lounge.
My Mothers 8 yr old GE cordless phone needed a new battery, before anyone starts blabbing about just buy a new telephone,,,,She's elderly and new stuff is a challenge for her to learn, so rather than buying her a new phone that she would have to re learn, I thought it best to repair the old tried & true, so I easily repaced the battery with a new one, however the telephone defaulted back to tone dialing and her tel. line is pulse dialing, no longer could find the instruction manual that came with the telephone and couldn't figure out how to change the setting myself,,,,, searched online & didn't find any useful results,,, emailed Thompson last night at 9PM with the dilema,,,, 11:20 this morning in my inbox was a link to the online PDF manual for that model of telephone. a simple procedure and the telephone is back in pulse mode dialing.
Thats remarkable customer service.
