You did ask a legitimate question js24 but it's just too complicated and too elementary to be answered satisfactorily. Do a search for "laws" and/or "legal", "bust", "raid" in this forum, and check PeryMason's posts; if it was a legal discussion, he was in it. You'll start to realize that, as w/ marijuana, there's the law and there's what people (cops are people too) actually do. You have to decide these things yourself.

All I know is that I've been to SCs in DC and Virginia and they're lame, even by US standards.Kommander1975 said:

Patrons must sit at an arm's length away from the stage. If you want to tip the dancer, you walk up to the stage, throw your dollar on the stage, and run away. It's almost laughable.
If you want more contact, you'll have to drive next door to Maryland, where lapdances are legal in SCs as long as the dancers are wearing panties or G-strings. In Baltimore city, nude lapdances are legal.
I just thought everyone understood that Canadian SCs have US SCs beaten hands down as far as mileage goes. Perhaps the original poster was misinformed or unaware of this.

In the Maritimes you have to approach the girl. THEY WILL NEVER come to you. Some places don't even allow touching. MOSt are air dances. Could you believe they have metal detectors in Halifax. And there is only one there.

One of the things that has always fascinated me about SC's in the States is how widespread the laws are, depending on the state or municipality. In most places in the U.S., alcohol and nudity do not mix. If you want to drink, settle for topless or pastie bars. If you want to see pink, settle for a Coke.
Atlanta is well known for its friendly combination of nudity and alcohol, although I remember the lap dances there being on the tame side. My favorite place for raunchy nude lap dances was always Tampa, although again, no alcohol. Most overrated place, imo, is Las Vegas. The girls are plentiful, usually enhanced, and frequently beautiful, but the prices are outrageous. I haven't been to Memphis in a while, but my memory was that it was pretty good. The oddest set up was in Minnesota, where in Minneapolis, it was topless only and alcohol, and across the river in St. Paul, it was nude and alcohol, but the girl physically had to be behind a pane of glass.

Agree about Vegas. Never been to Tampa. Been to Memphis but didn't go to SCs there. I would also add that I've gotten some of the best lapdances at LA and NY SCs, and right here at home in Maryland.homonger said:
