to clarify, it's DLP technology with RGB lasers which means that the traditional bulb would not have to be replaced in years to come. Mitsubishi is also using a plastic screen instead of glass to keep the weight down. Interesting though.

Yup, SED has been in the news for some time now. Canon is supposed to join the TV market as well with their version using carbon nano-technology.
