LE Bust??? - Ottawa

I`m just curious because a few people asked if it was a street level crackdown; I always thought the street scene was the only area of prostitution that LE targeted. I don`t know a lot about this, but is it common for escorts or their clients to be busted? Could some ad in the Sun actually be an undercover LE? Just curious how it works.
One comment, and I`m not trying to judge, but considering that this possible risk is always there when approaching streetwalkers, why would any guy risk it when there`s likely safer pay-for-play options. I can`t imagine how embarrassing it could be for a guy who was "outed"; especially if he`s in the public eye. Wasn`t there a local municipal politician a few years back who had to move after being arrested in a john crackdown? Is it worth it?

Dr. Wil Keon, a well known Ottawa area cardiologist was "outed" for being in john school. I believe he was a senator as well at one time. I'm not sure if this is who you're talking about but I didn't hear anything about him moving. He did however step down as head of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

for a lot of people it's the thrill. for others its just the spontaneity of sex being available on demand. other's are cheap and know that they can get a bj for 10-20bucks and thats all they want on the way home from work. shrugs.. to each his own.
Imo we all should consider that any time we contact an sp, mp, escort or what ever that if we don't know them or have never dealth with them before they could be LE.
Places like terb help sort out things and give us hobbists the chance to make an informed choice.
Imo I would not put anything past the LE , like posting a false review, or placing an ad in a newspaper just to see who comes out of the wood work.

The guy I was thinking of some local municipal figure in the late 90s; can`t remember his name (Bagwell, Bagnell?). Apparently with Dr. Keon his excuse was he was just talking to the girl and not propositioning her. Maybe it`s true, maybe it`s not. It shouldn`t change the respect anyone has for him.
