what surprises me is with all the obstruction and construction, there was only one car honk (around 6:30 mark). Unlike other metropolitan cities London drivers seem very patient. Curious though, why are the lines on the road squiggly?
The bendy lines mark the approaches to a pedestrian crossing. Pedestrians aren't to cross the squiggly lines, and cars are not to park on them in order to preserve sight lines to the crossing.
I've been to London a few times. Great city. You have to put up with the British though.
I grin and bear the local differences when I go somewhere, realizing they will see warts about Toronto and Canadians that we overlook due to familiarity.
Given a choice though, I'd take London over NY in a heartbeat. I could easily transplant to London, but would hate NY.
