Does the speed at which the time is going by scare you. I can't believe I'm close to 50. I still think of myself as …..around 37 and still recall (what seem like a few years ago) of people referring to me as one of the younger guys on the crew. That was before I got promoted and moved up the ladder.
I can recall days back when I was in my twenties that the days seemed to go on forever. I was bored with the job, my life, and the minutes seemed to last for hours. I'd check my watch and then go back to work and then intentionally not look at the time for what I thought was 1/2 hour and then be drawn back to the watch and realize that it had only been five minutes.
Now the minutes are like seconds and the days and weeks go by far too fast. Hell, it’s only a little over a month until Christmas.
I look back at things I did 20 or 25 years ago, that seem like yesterday. If the next twenty years goes by as fast, I'll be close to 70. Don't get me wrong, its not that I wake up in a cold sweat at 2:00am, but are the rest of you a little concerned at the velocity at which life is passing us by.
Its frightening how fast the time goes when you're having fun……...
