I've replaced my Ubuntu with Linux Mint and I'm quite happy with the decision. While Mint isn't as elegant looking as Ubuntu, it has more functionality, at least for me. For example, commercial DVDs and Flash video play right 'out of the box.' There was no searching around for plugins or additional programmes. This is the way a Linux OS should be.

Mint has been getting much good press lately.
Haven't tried it yet.
