Process control

These critters are clearly designed for process control.

BUT and i repeat BUT 900 bucks for a smaller footprint, 4 year old technology and no operating system and no storage media is. How shall I say it?? ALOT LIKE BUYING A USED CAR AT FULL BOAT AND FINDING IT HAS NO AXLES!!!!!!!

You can get decent laptop in the same price rage with modern process speeds.

Compaq makes a basic unit for the network application. Maybe 3 for the same price.

Or build a state of the art kick ass unit for the same price yourself.

At work we use Compaq EVO thin client PC's. All the power of a regular workstation, no expansion slots. For less than $600 CDN.

Check them out at http://www.compaq.ca/english/business/thinclient/t20.asp
note: this thing is not actually a "real computer" it merely handles keyboard, mouse, display for a citrix server.

don't have any expectations about loading win2k on it as a standalone box.
