Logitech Webcam Question

Am running Explorer 8 - which seems to be a bit of a drag on my computer....

But more importantly....with the Logitech program on there (240 some meg program) it really seems to slow this thing to a crawl. Even when its sitting unused and no camera even hooked up!!!


So I deleted the entire program and computer is much improved. Did I do something wrong in loading it on? Is it not compatible with Explorer 8?

Any one else have this issue

What is your system config:

ie. Disk size (how much free), memory, video card memory, cpu speed?

When the software was loaded did you go into task Manager and see what was happening with those metrics?

If you want to give it a try again try running a system task logger such as Process Monitor (free)

This will give you trace of what is happening.

You can also load firefox and see if same thing happens there.

240 mgs

The program seems to occupy 240 megs of space.......

no it runs on its own.

but even when not running...it seemed to be the thing bogging down my system!! Or is it????? That is my question.

Have Norton....I know that slow things...so virus not an issue.
