Hi Gang,

I am in search of some West Coast experience. Headed to long Beach next week, and was wondering if anyone has sampled the local fare ;)
Any input or advice is appreciated, thanx

In/out call, massage something to relieve stress. Perhaps a fine woman to take/have for dinner. I am pretty much open to all possibilities.

Save your money and check out the action at Venice Beach, Muscle Beach and Huntington Beach (the new surf city USA). Then come back to TO and get what you need from an EE.

the queen mary's interesting i suppose.....but santa monica's not that far away and i would just drive over there....much more interesting....or are you talking about MPs and strip clubs?
Santa Monica is good to walk around but beware of car thieves. Had our rental stolen from very busy street in plain view year ago. S.M. cops looked more like Fancy security guards with pressed uniforms, station was unreal clean and neat, unlike T.O. stations.

If you get a chance, take a walk around Newport Beach. Too bad it's off-season for rollar bladers, bikinis and Volleyball pick-ups so fewer eye-candy.

If interested in Sushi buffet, look for the chain Todai, literally "to die" for me the amount of sushi I consumed in 1 sitting.

Hwy 1 north is definitely the best experience if you have the time.

Yeah hobbying in LA is very very expensive. But definately try the strip clubs out. There is one on La Cienega Blvd called Star Strip. It was in Eminems music video. It is right next to the Beverly Centre. Very famous place, and take out is available. Try out the Spear Mint Rhino chain as well, they are all great. Save the hobbying for Toronto, but as for SC, definately check them out. Happy Hunting TERBite!!:D

Thanks for the Sushi tips, I'll check it out. Unfortunately, my time there is short 36 hrs- but the fine dining tips are appreciated. I will cruise the Ballet and save my sheckles for T.O.

not really a fan of todai.....it is cheap though....i think it's $25 per person and its buffet.....if you really want good sushi i'd recommend nobu but sit at the sushi bar...if you do plan on going i'd make my reservations now just to be on the safe side....
You're absolutely right. Todai for the selection and on a budget. It was biz trip with restricted allowance.

We don't usually go a la Carte in LA, as over-priced, often ended up Chinese/Viet in Mont. Park. For a la Carte, we scoot up to SF with bigger, fresher selection and plenty of eye-candies.:)
