A young scorer like Harrison Barnes would be my pick.

Good PGs are hard to get. So if we get the chance to grab Kyrie Irving, we should do it. I don't think Irving's rated as high as Derrick Rose or John Wall when they came out, though.

Adding Barnes to Bargnani, Davis, Amir Johnson, James Johnson, Derozan and Bayless would put Raps on the way to building a young and talented team.

At the moment, Raps sit at 5th overall but they're only slightly behind Sacramento for 4th overall.

Even picking at the 4th spot, Irving, Barnes are probably gone by then.

Too early to say since no undersclassmen of substance have declared. Irving seems like the consensus #1 but he reminds me too much of Jason Williams (#2 overall in 2002 behind Yao). Like Tagboy, I love high ceiling guys like Barnes but there's no guarantee he'll declare. The others that are in the high lottery conversation (Kanter, Williams, T. Jones, P. Jones) aren't that much different from guys that we already have now in Davis & J. Johnson.

My mantra going into this would be (A) no big white Euro guys & (B) no small guards like Walker, and that's why Knight is growing on me but #4/5 is too high to pick him at this point.

Although a mock draft, is sure makes a mockery of the NCAA's scholarship process, and a bigger mockery of the NBA's policy of not drafting kids from high school! A player starts his NCAA career at 18, 19, 20 graduates at 21. Only 1 of these picks is legal age to drink and he's from a morman school! The Europeans I'm not sure.
