The only reason I ever really drank was at bars if there were chicks around, hot waitresses etc. I Was never a home drinker. Do you drink more or less as you've gotten older?

Only drank in social situations back in the day, and on dates with ladies as "panty remover".

Never really got drunk, especially to the point of horking...

These days never touch the stuff.

I agree that drinking at home, unless is social with others is not fun., But I really enjoy playing amateur mixologist and going to high end bars, e.g. Bar Chef. My college days of looking for a chap buzz are long gone, so are dive bars serving one oz of booze for $8.00! Not worth it and not fun. Gotta live it up!

Rarely drink at home. However, I will crack a cold one on certain days when only a beer can slate my thirst.

I am a social drinker though. At least once a week, I’ll go out on a date, meet up with friends, or entertain clients. Alcohol is part of the vibe.

I don’t look to get drunk or wasted though.

GTA & Thereabouts...
Since COVID, I've become a disaster. I'll drink 4-6 tall cans a night (especially when working at home at night). I don't get hangovers. Still perform at a high level at work.

I'm not proud of it as it is a problem (and I could do more with the money wasted). Accurate or not, beer has pulled me through some tough times and allows me to forget a bit.

I've read the books, etc. No results yet.

Weekends a bottle of wine with SO. Occasional Party with friends where 8-10 drinks. Occasional night to watch the game maybe 3 pints.

On vacation no limits. Whatever I feel like.

I don’t drink at all. Not on special occasions - nothing. But I have issues with alcoholics in my life so it is just gross to me personally. Plus I never found a love for the taste of many drinks and wine and forget beer. That stuff just tastes like yuk!

Not really a drinker either. On the same lines as what @Jenesis said above and I never really got the taste of alcoholic drinks. Beer tasted like shitty water, wine was shitty grape juice, rum/vodka/whiskey tasted like gasoline, and cocktails was just the above but a bit sweeter.

Making a concerted effort to seriously cut back, if not stop altogether.. Have made about 60 percent progress. I like how much better I feel... Attitude has also improved... As a side bonus, I'm saving money!!

I stopped drinking all together in 2013. I never liked the taste of alcohol nor how it made my tummy feel after (I hate the warm feeling). I also hate being buzzed. I like eating more lol.

But that said, I do drink on special occasions usually during Christmas. I may have a glass of egg nog or some Baileys or wine during Christmas dinner or during the summer a Mojito. I usually have like 2 or 3 drinks a year and that too only wine or tasty cocktails.

I drink maybe about a third of what I used to in my 20's and 30's. I'd say back then I'd consume about 20 drinks per week on average. These days if I over indulge I get two day hangovers. Just not worth it anymore.

Due to the environment I grew up in, I started drinking at a young age and never stopped. 4 or 5 times a week I get blotto. I only get drunk on beer. 100% agree that while many people will tell you "it's not the answer"...yada..yada, it has got me through some tough times. Other times, I just plain and simple love the high I get from knocking back 10 beers. Like you, my regret is it's hit me pretty hard in the wallet.

I'm almost 50 and starting to turn the corner a bit though. In the last 6 months there's been lots of times where in the past I would have gotten drunk, and starting to find myself saying "fuck it" and just doing something else as at this age it's starting to take its toll on me. I'm not there yet, but working on it.
