Seriously? I find him to be an irritating lightweight. He seems to prefer easy targets - ever see Religulous? But mostly, it's his delivery that makes my skin crawl. I find his brand of smarmy snark to be incredibly annoying - and I'm a smarmy snarky motherfucker myself. Hell, I find myself agreeing with over 90% of what he says, and I still can't stand the fucker's voice, face, or manner.Bill maher has got to be one of the premier thinkers of our day. I only wish he'd broaden his focus to include commenting on events in other countries more often and looking at issues in context to how they relate to us as a species as opposed to just America. If he can lose the American Self centeredness he could really be a major player in world opinion.
Nice try . Maher was as clueless as clueless could be on this topic. He took a fact which is the case you state and conflated it into some mass sweeping conclusion. He does this all of the time. Another clueless teleprompter reader.Brazil used ethanol from sugar cane to reduce their consumption of conventional crude and be less dependant on open countries. It's a he'll of a lot more than America has ever done. And his overall point of the segment is correct that both the democrats and republicans share similar views on war and energy and campaign financing which puts politicians in the pockets of big business.
