Abuse is abuse… wrong no matter which partner strikes first. My ex loved the 1-2 combo… emotional/mental abuse and physical (slapping, punching)… I never retaliated.

The “never hit a woman” is definitely the right mentality… but in reality, it’s like a free pass that some women shamefully use to their advantage.

Most of society will side with her, regardless of the circumstances.

This man shows incredible restraint to a girl who repeatedly punches him. I don't think he's weak for that.

A man could knock out a woman with one punch, or he could show restraint and avoid injuring her (causing permanent damage). Although I understand the "she deserved it" aspect of it, I still think that in most cases the right thing would be to walk away and avoid further escalation. This is true of both sexes.
