... I saw something on TV the other day I found interesting with the current events going in the World. According to Marx the 3 principle drivers to World events are:

1) Capital- you need the cash to buy tanks
2) Violence- you use violence to conrol or get the capital
3)Stupidity- you use the natural stupidity of most people to control and manipulate the masses to use the violence to get the capital.

..kind of rings true,imho.

Sounds like Karl Rove's Game Plan, especially #3..........does that make Karl Rove a Marxist????

..thats just the way the world is and has always been. Rove is someone who understood this and has been succesful because of it.

..have you ever watched alot of Marx brothers ? while their economic policies might differ, their attitude towards the rich seemed pretty much the same. People in this country and thye US forget how very different the class picture looked pre WW2. I use the analogy we are like a huge tribe that has had a good plunder, well the plunder has been spent and I think society is going more back to the way it was before WW2. When going to University was considered out of reach for all but the upper classes.
