Mike, go see a doctor, a sex clinic or do some reading online from some credible sources. Nothing is risk free, and upgrading will increase your risk. I am not saying it is a bad risk, but you need to be able to make an educated decision about it.
As a general rule from least risky to most: hj/titty sex < sex with condom
Condoms are fairly safe, but they can break, and there are other things you can get even with a condom.
