meh couldn't find any cogent argument for anything important. To claim "it doesn't matter to most of us" is to claim breasts are unimportant to most men. Status, power and position do matter to women as does height. These things are far less important to men. It is disingenuous for her to claim that the "social construct" of masculinity is harmful to men and yet this same social construct is primarily the product of the sexual preferences of women. Now the problem is should women change these preferences? Can they make these changes? If she is "sex positive" she would address preferences in an honest manner and address whether feminism is making a normative claim about the type of men women should want. If you like tall silent, strong men who don't cry your wants and desires as a woman are some how oppressive. If this isn't her position she shouldn't be so critical of "social constructs". Feminism simply can't and doesn't want to address these concerns. Feminism simply can't be taken seriously unless it stops denigrating the virtues of this "tight little box" called masculinity.
