Microsoft security essentials

is this anti-virus program good? i just start using it today.

I've been using it since February. After my laptop's hard drive crashed, Staples re-installed Window 7 along with some random free software, Microsoft Security Essentials included.

It did detect a questionable item on one of my old USB stick, besides that can't really comment. It's basic and seems to do to the job well.

I used MSE awhile when it first came out. Liked it because it was fast and ran light not sucking up much resources. Then read a report that rated MSE as middling and dumped it for free Avast which ranked better.

it used to be good at first, but now it has started failing many AV tests. The only good thing about it now is that it's light weight.
switch to Avast (my 1st choice) or AVG
