This has been a problem with older people on the dating scene for a number of years. Let's face it, it's a generational thing. Condom usage wasn't a big deal during the summer of love, with free love and all that jazz.

The article didn't say which group was more likely to be:

1) homosexual, hence having more risky homosexual sex

2) uncircumcised, hence having more risky uncircumcised sex

3) not monogamous, hence more likely to be having riskier non monogamous sex

I'd guess the younger group would win all three categories, which is to say they lose by being less safe.

Kids these days don't know anything. They don't even know what it feels like to have bareback sex. When will they learn?

"I guess you now know what to get grandma or grandpa for gifts this year."

Grannies seldom engage in vaginal sex. Sexual
activities among seniors are oral sex predominately.
Gifts of lubricants and Viagra pills are what they
want, not condoms.

A direct quote from a friend of my dad's in a home. "They feed me, bathe me and there's pussy walking the halls all hours of the night. Wish i'd come here sooner"........hand to god.....true quote.

I wonder what the impact of the Summer of Love was in the spread of herpes to virtually every living human. Herpes probably didn't even exist until those hippies got down and dirty that summer.

The survey " included respondents who were married, divorced, single or widowed".

I would think the fact that people in their 40s and 50s are more likely to be married would pretty much explain the findings.

The amount of requests I get for bareback full service is disgusting at this point.
Every week whenever I'm available these requests come pouring in.
Kind of the reason I don't like the APP numbers texting me anymore.
It's usually the people with the fake numbers wasting my time and asking stupid questions like BBFS stuff.
Just gross and wrong. What "normal person" would want unprotected sex with someone they don't know?
Not me! I'd like to live as long as I can.

"Herpes has been known for at least 2,000 years. Emperor Tiberius is said to have banned kissing in Rome for a time due to so many people having cold sores. In the 16th-century Romeo and Juliet, blisters "o'er ladies' lips" are mentioned. In the 18th century, it was so common among prostitutes that it was called "a vocational disease of women".[87] The term 'herpes simplex' appeared in Richard Boulton's A System of Rational and Practical Chirurgery in 1713, where the terms 'herpes miliaris' and 'herpes exedens' also appeared. Herpes was not found to be a virus until the 1940s.[87]"

"...in 1886, French doctors Charles-Paul Diday and Adrien Doyon published a full-length book about herpes called "The Genital Herpes." "

None what so ever the so called summer of love wasnt as wild as you think. There was still alot of middle class morality and like everything else in history it was blown way put of proportion. Kids today are way worse than we were when it comes to sex

As someone who was a teen in the "free love" 70s I have to say it was a blast. Managed to get through it with no STD or other adverse effect. Unless you'd say having to adjust to less sex afterwards was an adverse effect (actually the more I think about it, it WAS an adverse effect). Everyone I knew was getting laid at the drop of a hat. Condoms were seldom seen so it was a bit miraculous that there weren't more issues among my crowd. I have a hard time thinking kids today are having more sex.

What percentage of us growing up then enjoyed the free love lifestyle? Not sure but the ones I hung around with were all sex crazed kids. Then again, seeing the way I am later in life, I may have just been a whore.

How did you old timers dupe all those women into believing free sex was good for them, too? They actually believed it! Brilliant move. In my opinion you were the true "greatest generation."
