I also heard the the folks at 'Spittin' Chiclets' were after him the minute he was hired back into the NHL.

I was thinking about this.

If he said to Jenner. Hey why don't get a collection of pics together from the players of what they did this summer and we'll show them all to the team during a meeting. That might be really cool. Maybe some good laughs as well. Good team building.

But if he said give me your phone because I want to see what type of person you are. That's not kosher at all. Who knows what the hell is going on there.

Heard on 680NEWS that the older players didn't mind that much. Guess they only had pics of their wives and kids. But, the younger players were outraged.

Bottom line: He is now toxic.

It sounds like the allegations were probably more true than not. While Jenner and Gaudreau tried to make it sound normal....it obviously was a very weird thing to do. And if you're a youngster, the pressure to do what your coach asks, even if its something off-putting, is incredibly difficult to turn down. The fact that the NHLPA went to investigate, even after the team and Jenner downplayed it tells you something was rotten here.

As for Babcock...I remember thinking how amazing it was that he joined the Leafs....But, let's face it. He was a disaster. He alienated his players really quick. And the stories you heard from the Wings tells you that virtually everyone there hated him. Now, he had success. But lets look at the rosters he had in his various stops. I mean, winning a gold medal with the Canadian hockey team is a hell of a lot easier than running a re-building Leafs team...Not saying I could do it, but it would surely be easier with that depth of talent...

Basically, he's done like dinner. I cannot imagine him getting another coaching gig in the NHL. Maybe if he can rehabilitate his reputation by working in Junior and being a model coach...but even then, who would hire him?

Yeah he'll be very lucky to get any coaching gig at this point. This was the icing on the cake. If anyone sort of stood on the fence about his history, I don't think they are now. He obviously has issues.

How could he not learn after what he went through here.
Colombus is no better, they knew what happened here, and he left a stink in Detroit when he left.
