Maybe your just too rough, or abuse them. All my electronic stuff looks like the day I bought it.

Was wondering the same.

I have had no problem with both apple and Creative MP3 players in the last 3 years. Both my vision W and Flash Zen V run very fine, nothing to complain.

Now that the newer iPods are out, you can get the older 80GB iPod classic 15 bucks off at FS, about $ 220 a pop.

Fairly good price IMO for a decent large storage size pod if you don't need their bigger 120 GB drive which comes standard for the new iPod classic.

BTW the older iPod touch 8GB is 50 bucks off , $ 230 @.
New 8GB touch will be $250 @.

I agree, if you're rough on them, get a flash drive since there are not moving parts to break down. On the down side, flash drives usually have less capacity.
How much flash drive do you need?
16GB flash drives are pretty common now.
