The other day I sent to see an SP and everything was set (set appointment, SP confirmed, got $$$, at location on time etc).
Was really looking forward to this as it was my first time spending $$$ on a SP, normally it would be $$.5.

Once I was in the room, I wanted to put away the donation first thing, put my hand in my pocket and something didn't feel right.
My heart sank, checked the other pockets, cant find it. I no longer had the donation on me.
SP clearly thought I was lying (I was not). kept saying to myself, you must have left it in the car. Explained to the SP what happened and that I have to go to the car to check for this.
Went to the car...nada. I felt soo stupid...not sure what happened. It must have dropped out of my pocket somehow but still
feel puzzled wtf just happened!!!

Thought I would share this with fellow terbians and I really cant share this with anyone else. I know, I should have been more careful...:-(

I keep telling myself, I would have just donated this money to some good (I do donate regularly but still feel bad).

Ridiculous ? Hello ! Hopefully she will forgive you. Rule No.1, leave everything in the car, except the donation.

Tough break and definitely embarrassing. If she's professional, then she shouldn't hold it against you since we all make mistakes. I try my best to put the envelope in a zippered pocket to reduce the chance of it dropping out.

The new money bills are very slippery if you don't carry a wallet. I lost a few hundreds last month while pulling something out of my pocket. I found one bill besides my car when I got out of the car. I thought it was someone else's money..found out later it was mine..lol. So was my friend lady golf instructor who just put it in her jacket pocket after she collected 300 bucks from her student. Her money was gone when she got back home and the jacket was with her all the time.

I quit a job once because someone stole my wallet out of my coat pocket that was in the coat closet.
We were a small group, about 8-9, and really friendly. After my wallet went missing I didn't feel I could trust them.
The biggest pain in the ass was getting a replacement OHIP card. I ended up having to get my local MPP involved.
Cash? Hate to lose it, but if you were going to blow it on a blow job, well. I'm guessing it wasn't the grocery or rent budget.
Shit happens. Sorry about your luck.

You really need a clip of some kind with the new money. It was my habit with the old money to just fold it in half and put it in my pocket. The new money won't stay folded and in fact acts like a spring if you fold it. Soon it is a huge ball in your pocket and very easily falls out if you reach for something.

When I'm back in Canada now I have switched to keeping cash in a coat pocket that can be zipped up. Total pain.

I always put the money in an envelope, even if it's just a few $100 or $50 bills. I fold it and put in shirt pocket . If it falls out, it's fairly obvious.

i actually didnt notice that about the new money until u pointed that out. its more plastic than paper. the money back in the 80s used to b completely paper so it usually bent and folded pretty easily, even got crinkled and crumbled all to hell most of the time. now the new paper barely even folds at all and is very unbendable and does indeed 'act like a spring'..

never noticed that before.

Question: if the new money is more plastic than paper. does that make it waterproof?

I would have used the word "embarrassing " instead of "ridiculous" in you headline. And, don't blame the lady of not believing you, because this is a very common way of bailing out by customers when they find the ladies are not to their liking.

In all fairness, I hope you have gone back to see her, or at least to offer some compensation because she did spend the time preparing for your visit and she most certainly lost the time she reserved for you.

I went to see one SP so I had to take a and was short 20. She was abit tick that I didnt have the full amount. But it was the previous client that upsetted her. Anyway seen and done thank her and iI told her I 'll get the 20 tomorrow. It was a nightmare to me as I travel back to the seedy hotel and gave to reception. The person seem so sketchy just yapping on the phone and was willing to open my card qnd envelope. I request to the room #. Then i had to haul ass to school. I texted later and she got her $.
Now I take a spare 20 for taxi just incase as SP do count the $. So embarrassing.

I ALMOST had that happen and experienced the horror and dread of having someone think you're a deadbeat- visiting a lady (she worked at agency then) who was on her way to being the atf - she told me I was one of her favourite clients...(yer thinkin' bs right?) but then i got into TO and could only do a sunday am meeting - reached out to agency, and even though she was not on the schedule...I asked for her...she told the agency she'd come in just for me, on her off day, and at a time when no one else would be there (the agency didn't open until 1pm and this was a 10am appt to last for 90 min). So...we're all alone...and I reach for the envelope...can't find it...try other pocket...not there...omfg I start to panic - cuz I'm thinking from her POV...she is thinking 'hmm he's lured me here all alone and he's got no money...." ...checking pockets like mad, rechecking pockets, thinking 'damn did it fall out of my pocket on way over???' and just sheer panic...ripping through jacket, pants, etc, my briefcase.....and I am apologizing, and I even said 'will you trust me I'll go to an atm and get the cash?" (and I'm also thinking shit I just lost $300 something bucks) but BEFORE she could respond - FINALLY found it in a hidden pocket I almost never use...but that was the longest 3-4 minutes of my life, and I felt like a scumbag and creep- or better said felt like she was going to see me as a scumbag or creep. In fact told her I had to sit for a minute and recompose myself before heading into the shower I was so shaken...We laugh about it now she said she had faith I'd have the cash...lol...session was awesome, as usual too...
