All take place is some really normal places. I find that the more normal the place, the more exciting it can be for the reader simply because they can relate to it better. Some are true stories with some little twists, some are complete fiction. Some are a combo of both. You take from what you know, what you want, and put it all together hoping the reader gets into as much as you.
