Well fellow Terbites, how many of you are participating in Movember? And are you a usually clean shaven person who is enduring some discomfort as the end nears? Anybody pick up somebody because of the 'stache? I saw something on Youtube about "fuck somebody with a moustache on November 18". I didn't experience that I'm afraid....

I'm glad Movember will be over today. It seems to only be embraced by youngish journalists trying to prove their manhood, and politicians that don't have anything substantive to say. I really don't give a crap who has a bigger face bush, and don't know any ordinary person participating.
I am far from "youngish", probably beyond "oldish", and I have participated for many years.
Movember is a way of raising public awareness for Prostate cancer prevention and research. It's a great cause to support and the mustache growing is a clever and refreshing way to draw attention to an important issue.
I don't see why any ordinary (male) person would NOT participate.
My sons employer wouldn't allow it but they are encouraged to raise money for breast cancer in October and buy daffodils in April but a "stach" contravened Dept. policy. Its too bad someone didnt go to the media about this but then they would be a "marked man' at work sad very sad
Usually have a beard, but shaved it off and started new at the beginning of the month. Sporting a rather dashing fumanchu now... which is coming off later tonight! And yes, I donated to the cause, also (I can't believe how many friends and coworkers grow the stache and when I ask if they've donated, say no - the two kinda go part and parcel).

I don't agree. The point of Movember is both to raise money and to raise awareness. Growing a mo certainly supports the latter goal very well. I do both, and donate to other mo bros that I know as well but that's my choice and I wouldn't judge those who only do one or the other.

To clarify they are allowed to grow staches beards BUT on their own time ie; vacation. Even then it is actually measured to conform to company policy!!.To start a stach and letting it grow out ie for Movember is not allowed.
