How big do you think B.C. is?Vancouver and Victoria are on the opposite side of the province -- a two day drive away if you push the pedal.
Think Fernie, Invermere, Cranbrook...
As T.O. tourist states, if it takes 12 hours to get to Vancouver to Fernie, then it certainly is feasible for you to take a day's ride, do some sightseeing in Vancouver and see an SP there -- a nice way to enjoy the weekend or even a day or two off from work. How big do you think B.C. is?
The drive from Fernie to Vancouver is about 12 hours (doing the speed limit).
Probably worried about getting scratched or bitten. I think these animal control people are trained to capture pets with a 'control pole' even if it's just a cat.I'll never understand why that guy didn't just try to grab that cat with his hands.

Even better is Fernie to Calgary, a beautiful drive (and less than 4 hours) thru Crowsnest Pass. Make it a full day trip and stop to tour the Frank Slide and Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump.As T.O. tourist states, if it takes 12 hours to get to Vancouver to Fernie, then it certainly is feasible for you to take a day's ride, do some sightseeing in Vancouver and see an SP there -- a nice way to enjoy the weekend or even a day or two off from work.
Must be a young cat with good flexibility. Think an old cat might be afraid to jump because they tend to land with more of a heavy thud and be more prone to injury. The cat obviously didn't like the approach (the control pole)
It looks like he landed on the concrete sidewalk, but he took off like a shot, so he was probably ok. The cat was probably figuring that it had gone from bad (stuck on the top of the pole) to worse (stuck on the top of a pole and now a guy with a noose) and figured it was his only way out.
Aside from perhaps the odd crackwhore there isnt much there.Terb has helped me find some wonderful ladies, but which sites work in Interior BC? Remember that Vancouver and Victoria are on the opposite side of the province -- a two day drive away if you push the pedal.
