Recall seeing a post here about 2 months ago how to disable the autocomplete feature when you are typing in a URL in the address bar (i.e., https://terb.cc) LOL

Had to format my computer and re-install firefox, but can`t recall how to disable. I know I have to go into settings somewhere and change a number to zero. Did a search can`t find it.

Can anyone help?

Hit tools
Hit options
Hit Advanced
Then try some of the options there, I forgot which on

I think uncheck 'search for text when I start typing'

EDIT: No wait, thats all wrong.....sorry

Opera

If you want to try out a nice browser that's even a little quicker than FF, give Opera a try....;)

I was on another site where they recommended Opera, is this browser safer than FF ?

I'm guessing its a lot safer than IE.

At this point in time Opera is rated more secure than FF & IE.

Speaking of Firefox, does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying pop-up that comes when you click on "Bookmarks" asking if you want to bookmark that page that you are on?

hey man,

thanks I like it. the speed dial is cool.
Opera has a few other neat features not found on IE or FF plus it's very porn friendly.
Check their site for details.
