MP 3 Players

My son wants an MP 3 player. Yeah, there is a lot of excitement around I-Pods, got it.

What are the alternatives? Archos? I-River? Creative labs? Help I am confused.

removable battery

Dear langeweile,

I have a creative Zen 4 GB player. Works great. When you make your selection, see whether the battery is easily removable. After 2 yrs, the batteries tend to become worn out and have to be replaced. With IPODS, you have to send the unit into the shop to replace it, which costs alot of $$$$$.
