One of my friends told me that he bought a Phillips from best buy, and set
the region to "all".

I agree with danmand. Look at best buy to see what phillips players they sell. They sell lots of them that play DivX as well as DVDs and most, if not all can be turned into multi-region.. Do a google search for the model # to see how to change the region in it.

Even the cheapo's from Walmart are multi-region...something like $29.99. Daenyx I believe.
