From the Toronto Sun Website:
A man was found apparently shot to death outside a North York strip mall this morning, the city's first murder victim of the new year.
The victim, described as being in his 30s, was found by Toronto Police at 3:04 a.m. at the Milvan Dr. complex of mainly South American food shops and restaurants.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
But forensic experts had followed a trail up a flight of stairs to a second floor landing and to the front door of a massage parlour.
A second victim also suffered wounds. He's in hospital and is thought to be a witness.
Auto shop owner Governor Ted Evans said he's not surprised by the news.
"I expected something like this to happen one day," Evans said. "Sooner or later, something like this had to happen.
"They attract the seediest characters here," he said.
