Music during appointments

I had a funny (to me) experience at a recent appointment with a MP. The song "Bitch better have my money" by Rihanna came on during my shower before starting.
It made me chuckle & also question my status while being there.
I brought this up during small talk & the MP mentioned sometimes the worst songs come on like City High "what would you do " which talks about having to sleep with a guy for $ to feed the kids at home.
I guess I prefer listening to R&B. It's fun to hear a song that was on during a session & reminisce. If I'm ever asked what do I want to listen to I say Soca. They usually laugh. No one has obliged this request yet.

Any funny, odd, fond, stories music wise to go along with sessions you've had? Or do you prefer to hear each other breath? Haha

During a session with a black girl several years ago she had her own phone supplying the music.

It was mostly hip-hop, with a lot of the N-word in the lyrics.

I'm fine with hip-hop or rap in general, and really like it from the early 80's though the mid-90's.

But that word made me very uncomfortable. I told her so and asked her to change the playlist.

When my daughter is in my car she controls the Bluetooth, and she has lots of hip-hop stored on her phone.

Whatever words are used with her in the car don't bother me, but I am uncomfortable when I am with a black person in a small setting and that word is played...
