I really can't stand how news reporters give their opinions when relating the news. You know what, keep yer farking opinions to yourself and just read the news dumbass. Over the past 10 years I've seen it go from bad to worse. CNN is REALLY bad, with its "news" reporters muddling the news with their opinions and personal beliefs to such a degree that it's unwatchable. If you ever see an old newscast, it's totally alien to what we see today. Before, they attempted to provide an unbiased report. Today, it's all about the witty comments tacked on at the end that colour the "news" report to fit the reporter's personal views.

Here's a little tip for all the news reporters out there...

Personal opinions are for editorials. That's so we can ignore your dumbass comments. Just report what happened and leave the viewers/readers to form their own opinions.

Rant over.

I find the CBC is still pretty good at keeping it reasonably neutral. On the whole though you can't beat the BBC for English language news at it's best. Too bad it's not that easy watching the BBC World Serivce over here. At least we can get their website easily enough.

I agree..

The BBC, French TV5 or others just report the worlds events straight up - it is kind of refreshing.

I think the worst the US has ever been was in the wake of 911 - despite this significant event, CNN was trying to elicit tears at every moment.

I still cannot understand why the Peterson case or the Bryant case gets the attention it does - instead of informing the audiences of things much more important.

Because people watch it.
It involves sex and violence that means that most people get involved with it.
