First they go in and take over, saying they are protecting you while they have been dropping bombs on you for twelve years.

Then they want you to open for business so you can pay them to bring in their own companies to rebuild what they blew up.

Many countries voted for the sanctions, not just the U.S. Now that the regime is gone there is no need to continue them. They were aimed at the government of Iraq. They just happened to be very good a ducking them with the help of France, Syria and its other neighbours. Just two days ago the American military shut down a pipline that was delievering oil to Syria in contravention of the sanctions.

So now the U.S. is wrong for wanting the sanctions lifted?

asking for the removal of sanctions is basically admitting that there are no WMD to be found.

The sanctions can't be removed

until the UN inspectors declare there are no weapons of mass destruction. That's what the US wanted. Until the new occupiers can confirm this, the sanctions must remain.

For over 12 years while some countries have pressed the U.N. to lift the sanctions the U.S. was perceived as vindictive keeping the sanctions in place. It was killing innocent civilians the world shouted.

Now that they control the country and the situation (so to speak) the sanctions should not be lifted? The sanctions were there to force the regime to unarm. Now that the regime is no longer in power the unarming can occur under the direction of the UN without punishing the civilian population through sanctions.

People argue over the unjustness of what the U.S. has done as an affront to the people of Iraq and now that they are trying to resolve the situation they are criticized and condemned. So tell me……who is now punishing the people of Iraq now Limanl?

The U.S. for wanting the sanctions lifted or the UN for wanting them to remain! You are using semantics to argue a point that isn’t there.
