DVP South but go straight when it ends. Dont get on Gardiner. Drive west on Lakeshore until you get to Parliament I think? It eventually leads to Queens Quay. Westin is on Queens Quay.

Install the waze app on your phone and use it to navigate to your destination. It will route around or at least alert you to any ramp closures along your route. Waze doesn't use much in the way of cell data, so a couple trips won't cause any big surprises on your next cell phone bill.
Depends on what you think "reasonable walking distance" is. My guess is that from the Westin (Yonge & Queen's Quay) to the aquarium (next to CN Tower) would be about 15, maybe 20 minutes by foot.
