A buddy of mine asked me to help out with something...
I need help finding a name for a marketing company I am starting.

Our target market are small business and small franchises who need marketing plans and advertising services. I’m looking for a creative name that quickly communicates what we do in an easy to remember form.

Thanks

A marketing company who should be creative and can't find a name for itself??

Seems like Fusion or Inigima should work. BTW, if they select either of those, I want cash.

they could also use Allfuckedup - that one is for free.

Elmo, I agree completely with you. As someone in this business, I would respectfully suggest that a marketing company shouldn't be having this sort of a problem.

Having said this, I agree that something like "Free Handjobs" is kinda catchy, and would surely grab some headlines too...

Trademark Issues

You're seemingly-not-very-creative marketing friend should also consider that many companies (the one I work for included) tend towards names that sound "cool" but don't really mean anything. This gives the company the advantage of being able to trademark the name as you can't TM a descriptive word or phrase like "Market Squared". An example of a real world application would be when Intel changed from 286, 386, 486 (numbers that you can't trademark) to Pentium.

So a way to take something like "Majestic Marketing" down the trademark route would be to use something like "MajMark".
