We like to complain about CBC, then Global screwed up Rock Star Supernova final broadcast, now CTV ran week 2 of the new season of Grey's Anatomy last night instead of the season premier. Time to clean house, and just get our TV from the States.
CBC will be losing all rights of Hockey Night in Canada in 2007-2008 to CTV-TSN (1.4 billion over 10 years) which means a huge influx of available CBC people will be out of work looking at other TV opportunities.

I couldn't imagine Hockey Night In Canada without Ron McLean and Don Cherry. This is the first I have heard of Hockey Night In Canada moving from CBC, are you sure?, Can you provide a link with this story?

It's just speculation at the moment. CBC's deal with the NHL expires after 2 more seasons, and the thinking is that CTV/BellGlobeMedia is willing and able to outbid CBC. It has also been suggested that CBC's new direction may involve avoiding big time pro sports while covering only ones that the private networks won't (swimming, etc.). But that idea seems to have been contradicted by CBC's recent deal for the rights to the next two World Cup soccer tournaments.

Well I've had it with Global, CTV and CH. In the past couple of weeks, they have had more than a few screw ups in prime time scheduling. Now I have to listen to the old lady next door bitch about Dancing with the Stars not being on tuesday night. I've set the VCR to tape shows cause I'm going to be working late, or out for the evening, and come home to watch crap I don't want to see.
Time to go buy a dish I guess, and watch American broadcasts.
