hey..
all computer techies..I am having a problem...and its been narrowed down to my network cable..there's two computers in the house
my brothers computer always has perfect internet connection that never wavers and is always steady..on the other hand, mine is connected to the router via network cable...and the internet on my connection has been less than steady lately, wavering and flickering, going in and out, coming off and on...it gets rather annoying..whenever it happens, my sister takes the network cable and unplugs it from the router, then replugs it in and the internet comes back on...i checked the prices on a new network cable package, and its like 50 bucks..now im feeling a bit cheated since i already coughed up 50 bucks for this cable..and its been a year now..only a year, not even a year, i just bought it a while ago...
my question is...does network cable have to be replaced so frequently? Do network cable break down that easily?.....Do u computer techies out there have to frequently replace ur network cable so frequently? I thought they lasted longer? Alot longer? At LEAST five years? That sounds more reasonable? Not 6 months life span only. I asked the radio shack clerk what the money back guarantee is on network cable and he said 3 MONTHS. 3 MONTHS?...Sounds too suspicious. Its like they expect it not to last that long. If they had more confidence in their product, they would give it a LIFETIME guarantee. And i know whut ur going to say, u should look at the brand name of the products. The brand name of my network cable is Nexxtech...yeah, it doesn't sound like a credible brand name. Sounds like a cheap, no name brand. But radio shack didn't have a SONY network cable....so....
anyways....can network cable be fixed or...does it really have to be replaced every 6 months???
