new cpu

Buying soon. Anyone have an opinion on Athlon 64 - 3000? Cheaper and superior to an equivalent Intel?

I've been an amd fan for a while but except for cost, you probably won't see any difference a that speed.

With the new Asrock k8 combo motherboard (socket 754 and 939) upgrade to a faster computer is a swap of cpu. Better upgrade alternatives.

I find there are more alternative chipsets for AMD cpu like Via, SIS, ULi and Nvidia than Intel. This means better features and design in motherboards.
