Last i heard,he had a meeting with Ed Snider,no committment to staying,,,opinion by so-called experts will be traded within 10 days,,one report is Vancouver is very interested...
Then again, after watching what the Flyers did to the Red Wings last night,he may not want to go there now!Dancerfan said:He'll look good in the red and white colors of the Detroit Red Wings, and it wouldnt surprise me if thats where he ends up!
I know whats being reported, but is this Forsberg's complete list or a list of teams Forsberg likes and Philly is willing to trade with? Sounds odd that Forsberg leaves the west as a free agent and now will only consider moving back west. Logic would say that if he's going to be a rental and he knows it, then he should want to go to a contender, no matter which conference they are in. Unless he think only a team from the west will win it all this year of course.Lapper said:toronto isn't on the list. the list was vancouver, detroit, san jose, anaheim, and one other west coast team.
Thats exactly what I'm getting at. Why would Philly want to do any favours for an Eastern Conference team. Also notice how Forsberg is staying quiet on this topic. Maybe he's interested in more teams than is being reported.Lapper said:i'm thinking it's philly wanting to keep forsberg as far away as possible.
Yeah, but I don't think a deal will get done with Toronto.gladheateher said:Forsberg would look good in the Blue&White
Why not? The Flyers are not going to be in the playoffs and Forsberg is a free agent at the end of the season...Brownie69 said:Why would Philly want to do any favours for an Eastern Conference team.
Why trade him to a team that he may sign with afterwards? Do you think Philly wants to play against a potentially healthy Forsberg 6-8 times a season?kirmit129 said:Why not? The Flyers are not going to be in the playoffs and Forsberg is a free agent at the end of the season...

Yeah, but at the present the Flyers have control over which team can talk with him. If you trade him to Toronto for example they get a couple of months to negotiate with him before any other team.kirmit129 said:He can sign with any team afterwards. If that's the fear of the Flyers, they should just resign him and forget about trading him.
Ahhh thats great ... I can just see it ... The Nashville Predators Stanley Cupthe_big_E said:He's been scratched for tonights game.
And he did take the pre-game skate.
